The salesman's rule... Two things you can't overcome when trying to make a sale; ignorance or poverty. Some people don't understand the Macs and therefore hate them. Others can't afford them, and therefore hate them. You get what you pay for, I like to buy quality. I'm as frugal as they come but I'm willing to pay a little more for a quality product. I've got a couple HP laptops here at the house, but I've also got my Macs. I prefer the Macs and understand that not everyone wants one. I've got a couple Windows desktops, but I also have Macs. I prefer the Macs.

my machine, which i built, cost me roughly 1k and is a year old. i have a i7 4770k. the best mac currently offers is a i7-4790k, and the similar machine i find with same ram, storage, roughly eq graphics (theirs is amd though and not sli so... mine is better) is 3499. free shipping though! marginal improvements today in 2015 a over something i built in 2013 and charging 3x as much is "quality"? please. the only improvement is that it has 5k monitor instead of my mere 4ks (plural though for me). now granted i did buy those after and they cost me 400 total, so perhaps it's slightly unfair of me to compare, but it's still an obscene upcharge on mac's part. they have like 50% profit margins. you're only lying to yourself about it
