What's really the problem with necromancy though? It's not like we have too many threads for the front page to facilitate and it's burying new topics. We have a shortage of activity, and some threads die prematurely due to that. Most of the things we discuss here are ongoing issues anyway so bringing something back up seems fine to me. Not being glib here, I never understood why threadbumping is so frowned upon.

Here's the problem. As ex said, we all do some of that stuff to a small extent. And, it's not so much a problem. The occasional posting of Capt. Piccard holding his head = funny. Posting the equivalent on 6 pages of the same thread = trolling.
If you make a "rule" that bans the latter, how do you accommodate the former?
