I doubt that any of the mega wealthy earned their wealth totally on their own with the help of no one else. Even being born into it required the help of the parents by having sex. Or winning a mega lottery required others to set it up. Or inventing a wiz bang that others bought.

i would say of those three examples, the inventor of the wizbang would have done it himself and made money on his own (knowing nothing else about this person)
i'm not sure what it will take to convince you indy but it's not like companies sell stock in order to pay the ceo more money and that's it. at my company they spend tens of millions on new projects every year.
