There are speed limit cameras all over the metroplex. Red light cameras on turn lanes are popping up a lot too. I got a $75 dollar ticket for turning right on a red without coming to a complete stop.

Hrm, I didn't see the bit about restrictions on 16 yr olds driving. I don't remember that being law when I was 16 so maybe its more recent but if not, I was in violation all the time. I gave people rides home from school nearly every day. So often I had more 2 or 3 non family under the age of 21 in the car with me.

It pretty much comes down to how much of a dick the individual officer is. I've been ticketed for 5 over, and I've been let off for 30 over... just don't get pulled over by an asshole on a day where you really screwed up.
