it's not their place to say. plus why does it matter if they want someone to kill them. they'll probably just do it themselves anyways. you're kind of arguing against an inevitability here with the suicide/depression angle.

besides, this is such an outlier of a situation.

because a few suicidal people might go through with it?

that's kind of a ridiculous reason to restrict it. plus when you're staring down the barrel of a gun you're just as likely to say "nevermind i back out" as when you're holding it to your own skull. someone that wants to die will end up dead. someone that doesn't won't.
