This is one issue that I'm very much republican/ conservative on.
There is an 800 pound gorilla in the room so to speak when the equal opportunity argument is brought up... That people from middle class families and upwards, more specifically, kids who are raised in a traditional nuclear family environment, are going to make better decisions than those who are from poorer financial backgrounds / single parent households.
Kids who come from families with college educations, are going to stress the importance of college education moreso than parents who don't.
You have people who are being given chances and just don't want to do anything for them then want to bitch that other people ARE doing things with the opportunities that are in front of them.
