I am all for a national plan, however their means to that end are extortion/coercion. Create a plan that depends on its merits, and not coercion to encourage participation. Most already pay into a plan they can't access, and must buy another. No matter what is ultimately done, service for the poor and near poor will be free or low cost. Imo, the middleman needs out of the loop.
The hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when your done.
