I hadn't really researched him before the last few weeks, but reading up on him he kinda sounds like an Israeli version of Ted Cruz.

I think what Israel is scared of at this point has more to do with the fact that Iran probably means more to the world in terms of business value than Israel does. There isn't much to recommend Israel to the world stage other than some dusty religious relics. Jews would do much better taking over South Dakota.
