we already went over it. individuals have no negotiating power outside of contract work UNLESS YOU'RE PROFESSOR WHO IS AN EXAMPLE TO US ALL.

the legal framework in which labor relations exist in the US does not allow for any form of negotiating unless at the owners discretion. most jobs do not negotiate with you and if they do it is a pittance over things like vacation days. i help my brother, who is a recruiter for top financial firms in NYC, and NO ONE gets to negotiate with the companies despite the fact that they're being recruited for managerial and higher positions. considering most jobs in the US are from small businesses, who have almost no room to negotiate, it only adds another nail in the coffin. EXCEPT FOR YOU PROFESSOR WHO IS AN EXAMPLE TO US ALL.

Assuming the business has the right to operate without limitations enacted to protect those with less capital is a logical fallacy. Clearly wealth has an intrinsic relationship with power. If a business does not fill a position, 99% of the time it will continue to operate smoothly. If a person does not gain a job, the likelihood of starvation and destitution (if a welfare state isn't in place) looms over most people's heads.

Small businesses are irrelevant to the discussion. Collective bargaining has rarely been pushed on businesses with less than 50 employees.
