it has nothing to do with "democrats" dylan. i'm not partisan in the way you want to sort people. if anything i have a knee jerk dislike of government intrusion in the economy. the stimulus was in my mind wholly inappropriate behavior for a government to do; i would be happier with a government that let the market correct itself. the reason perhaps you lump it with democrats is that democrats are more willing to do that kind of thing.

as for bush, there was optics of course, but the only major terrorist attack on these united states since 9/11 was the trasenev brothers. i also never got the "violation of civil liberties" charge as in i don't know what youre talking about. are we talking about the civil liberties of foreigners on foreign soil? because the president should not care about them over his own people. obama learned this, once he became president. before, he promised to shut down guantanamo bay
