All this being said, I think we're all in agreement that there is a problem with AA's being charged/convicted of crimes (and/or killed) in a statistically higher manner. The question is: how do you combat that trend?
I think the answer is:
1) bring the problem to light
2) prosecute those who violate the law
3) study ways to effectively prevent future instances from happening.
We're getting around to #2 now.
