Archaeologists found that something around 1-in-10 pre-historic humans died a violent death at the hands of either animals or other humans. So, that time was DEFINITELY more violent than now.
Then, we have recorded history, up until about 1800, when slavery was legal. Basically, the world enslaved the population of an entire continent, killing the vast majority of them before they would have otherwise died. And, the ones that we didn't enslave, lived like the pre-historic people above. So, anything prior to 1800 was more violent.
Anyway, I'd like to know which time period you, Dharma, think was more violent than now? As I've told Comrade, if you want to dispute the truth of something, you must posit an alternate truth for the rest of us to analyze.
