For those of you saying "I'm so happy for them" I can't help but notice that none of you are married yourselves. Is this some sort of passive aggressive gay hate? What sane person would want to be married to anyone? Dylan and Saz, you guys aren't partaking in this glorious and wonderful right, yet you wish it on others. You should be ashamed of your wanton malice and complete disregard for the well being of your gay brothers. They may be gay, but they're still people guys, and they still deserve at least the chance of being happy. Today the Supreme Court put one more nail in the coffin of their happiness and here you are celebrating. Save it for your klan rally Adolph.
Only a sick mind would think that "marriage" and "freedom" belong together in the same sentence unless it's, "I finally attained freedom by leaving my marriage". I hope both of you get married one day, then you'll see what you've done.
And gay people: you really f**k up this time. You had the perfect out. If your partner said "I wish we could get married too" all you had to do was shrug and say "yeah well you can't fight city hall. My hands are tied. Damned republicans" and you were done. That's it; game over for that conversation. It's not ME it's the state. It's perfect. No marriage and no one could be mad at you or ask where this relationship is going. You just couldn't leave well enough alone though could you?
Also consider your straight brothers out there. Millions of men with long term girlfriends who just want to live their lives in peace and watch some tv after work. Then you come along with your marriage marriage marriage talk all over every network. It's only a matter of time before that chick turns to that guy and says, "hey maybe WE should get married". Assholes! You're f**k it up for everyone. We even tried to get you to respect the bro code by reminding you of "the sanctity of marriage". We don't even know what that means. It's code for shut the f**k up about it already, you're f**k my shit up bro. It's so sacred let's not ever discuss it *nudge *nudge. But no, you couldn't leave it alone. If there is any group of people that should understand bros before hoes it is you guys. Is NOTHING sacred anymore?
Straight people are moving away from marriage as antiquated nonsense, but you want to drag society back to the dark ages, fine. Let's get medieval then. Maybe we should have mandatory marriage for gay people. All young gay men should be taught not to give it up until someone puts a ring on their finger. My hope is that one day marriage will be something that ONLY gay men do. If someone says, "I'm going to a wedding this weekend" the proper response will be, "wedding? Are you gay?" and you can look at the rest of us in envy of our freedom and realize what you've done. And when you come back around and say that it is unfair that gay men have to be married, don't cry to me. You made this self destructive bed, now lie in it...with the SAME person staring at you EVERY DAY...FOREVER.
For among other evils which being unarmed brings you, it causes you to be despised
