Christianity is a global war. The front has shifted to the Southern Hemisphere, but the fight goes on.
Christmas has been appropriated by the irreligious masses. Christianity has no exclusive claim to it anymore. Even if the country was mostly atheist we'd all still be giving gifts and decorating trees and such.

I don't see any laws on the books that state that people shall be prevented from celebrating a religiously inspired holiday. Oh wait, Our constitution states that government can't do that.
