I don't think there is anything lame about upholding family traditions, although I do think it is a bit crazy to make your family tradition military service, since that can and does involve result in amputated limbs, death, etc.

I dunno man, other traditions can be bad too. Festivus can get pretty brutal around the Dylan household. Last year during the Airing of Grievances alone we had two IEDs detonated
