typically people who are rich are not stupid, as fools are the ones who can't hang on to their money. but intelligence isn't everything. i doubt einstien would have made a great leader. a leader needs to be well rounded, and business acumen, while a good quality, also isn't everyhting. unlike romney for example, another businessman who thought he could lead the nation, trump has a jarring personality. romeny was seen as robotic/plastic which might be offputting to some people, but he's not yelling about shit and becoming a parody of himself.

i think trump's just playing a sanders type role trying to move the front runners towards his position, whatever that is. or more like, building up the trump image or something

The difference between Trump and Sanders is that Sanders is pushing a host of issues that he's been passionate about his whole life, whereas Trump is on the record saying the exact opposite of what he's now saying because he just wants attention from a vocal base of idiots who those positions will appeal to at this time. It's more of the last thing you said about building up a brand.
