Aren't these the type of polls that also show Ron Paul doing well every election season? Basically meaningless?

What's most bizarre is that in the last election, Romney got absolutely shellacked when it came to minorities. The day after all the talk was of how the GOP is going to have to start reaching out to them if they're to have any prayer at the White House.

Yet not only has the GOP doubled-down (hell, tripled-down) on the bashing, now their leading primary candidate has made that the centerpiece of his campaign? And going after Mexicans specifically? WTF?

Not to mention the super-weirdness of Trump looking at all the issues facing America and deciding, yeah: Mexicans are the problem?

We have open primaries and being most of our local races are decided in the republican primary (many cases don't even have a democrat running) I vote in them. I may just put down Trumps names for shits and giggles this go around.

Polls are questionable. More recent poll out of Suffolk/USA Today is the best one and even there the margin of error could erase Trump's lead.

Outside of the methodology, it saddens me to see many members of the GOP falling for such obvious demagoguery. I think Trump's popularity stems mainly from the lack of appealing candidates overall as well as the fractures within the party regarding "true conservatism."
