Should America Have Troops Stationed Overseas?

Postby SmithSmith » Sun Jul 26, 2015 2:50 am

Currently, the United States has military personnel deployed in about 150 Countries... This covers 75% of The World's Nations.
Fighting terrorism is important, I agree, but are there terrorists in all these 150 countries? I doubt. I don't really think we are making things safer for ourselves or others by making the rest of the world hate us.

The goal of the military stationed abroad isn't solely to fight terrorism.
Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.

If guns are not outlawed, the in-laws will have guns.

Until Putin went batshit crazy, I though that still having troops in Europe was wasteful.
I'll still would prefer the Europeans do their own heavy lifting, but it is what it is.
Same goes for Japan and Korea.
