I guess Maher is guilty of pushing an agenda under the guise of comedy, like most cable new channels do under the guise of journalism and reporting.
Which one should be held to a higher standard concerning their respective roles? Last I checked, comedians have never been held to some kind of unbiased standard, like ever. In fact, having that bias appears to be part of their very fiber. Journalists and reporters, not so much.
All things being equal, neither should be taken at face value it seems, especially when their roles start to blend, especially when reporters have become entertainers as well. Burr is merely showing the same frustration that I'm sure the few pure reporters and journalists left have towards their industry as well.
