Was Lincoln a Racist?

It's a perennial question, a deeply anachronistic question, but also a critically important one. Is there any evidence to support this? Do you know anything about it? Yes, a major issue of the civil war besides slavery was states rights, but...does it prove anything for you? Was Lincoln really a proud racist for the most part who didn't think blacks were the same as whites?

All founding fathers were racists who hated Jews and Blacks. But it doesn't make them any less important for our history. Many things which were considered as completely normal a few centuries ago are considered as completely disgusting nowadays and vice-versa.
