America needs to become self sufficient again. China can't destroy our economy, however impotent leadership can.
The hardest part of doing nothing is knowing when your done.

No they cannot, at least not without severely handicapping themselves as well.

I think, with the new GDP results this quarter, it can be safely assumed that growth isn't entirely dependent on China expanding at the same rate as well. China has been slowing the entire first half of this year and yet we just had a great quarter...which is slightly surprising given the state of affairs in Europe as well.
