Hunting, within a sensible system of environmental preservation, is largely a good thing. Helps maintain eco-equilibrium in many areas.
The moral angle isn't really important to me. Killing a pig is way more ethically wrong than killing a deer or a duck, as pigs are pretty intelligent. But even then I come down firmly on the side of not caring, as I don't think they pass the self-awareness threshold that really makes killing a moral problem.
That said, meat eating really is destroying our planet, and while I will personally and quite hypocritically never give up my steak, I think it's important that we do over the long term transition to a vegetarian diet. The health and environmental benefits are too huge.
