What this actually means is that hunting is much more environmentally friendly than eating meat produced by farmers. Of course hunting is far less efficient and if we had people hunting to provide for the meat demands of all consumers, it would become a problem.

there's a whole lot more to agricultural production than just meat. chickens and pigs are meat. soybeans are not. i know a number of farmers with thousands of acres under no till production that grow very little for animal feed.
you said you wouldn't stop eating meat. so maybe you should quit the holier than thou sermon.
