Racism and nativism are traditionally part of a populist platform, like it or not. Trump is running a populist campaign on the right.

Since when has "populism" been synonymous with nativism?
And you really think Trump is a honest-to-God populist?
Although I'll give you he's the first freakin' non-GOPP person to take a populist tax stance (albeit he's not required to lick the boots of the 1% for funding, which is key).
