Islam is a cancer on a liberal democratic society, as is every other religion that encourages people to worship the sky and to make decisions based on ancient texts and blind faith rather than science and reason. There is nothing inherently wrong with Islam per se, but there is something wrong with muslims. As a group, they take their religion way too seriously for the modern world. As a group, they are way too literal with regard to their interpretation of the holy texts. I don't want ANY people coming to this country who truly do not believe in evolution, or who think your hands should be chopped off for stealing, or who believe apostasy is a crime worthy of death.

Libs are fundamentally dishonest and refuse to recognize a totalitarian and backwards force, even as it seeks to put an end to our civilization. They continue to peddle lies that groups like ISIS don't represent islam, but if you read the holy books you can tell that's bullshit. While christians and jews in the west have found a way to ignore or look past the genocidal and sadistic elements of their own religions, muslims by and large have not. You only have to look at polling in any of these middle eastern countries to see that 80%+ of the people in these societies hold viewpoints that are completely antithetical to liberal democracy and would be unfit to be productive members of our society.

That said, reptiles are just idiots and continue to struggle with the concept of not judging EVERYONE based on things like race or religion. Most of the muslims, particularly in the west, are no different than any other american. They go to their holy place once a week and make a show of it, but ultimately they firmly reject the backwards viewpoints that are prevalent in the middle east. These people have been nothing but an asset for the united states and the statistics will bear that out. Reptiles generally are ignorant of geography, politics and culture and can't tell the difference between a Sikh and a Sufi, or a Malaysian and a Saudi.

Europe is committing suicide though by wantonly importing a million syrians. These countries have been completely unable to integrate the muslims communities they already have. These countries are facing 20-50% youth unemployment. Bringing in a million people who come from a wartorn country where a majority of the residents have backwards and illiberal views about religion, with no screening process, is lunacy. I don't think this applies to America though. We have a great track record of assimilating immigrants and allowing them to recognize their full potential as AMERICANS, and a million would be a drop in the bucket for a country of our size. It would be shortsighted and foolish of us NOT to take the cream of the crop of these syrian refugees and enthusiastically welcome them to the United States. There is a steve jobs somewhere in that group and that talent would be wasted in Syria AND Europe, but not in this country.

We should treat the middle east just like we treated Europe for centuries. Leave them to their own and devices and watch them kill each other, while offering the productive, liberal, and prosperous a place in this great society.

I think you're looking too deep into this incident.

People watch the news, they see ISIS slaughtering its way across the Middle East, using every barbaric method they can think of too generate publicity, so they knee jerk.
That's irrational fear, plain and simple.
So a Arab kid shows up with a clock, instead of using common sense, they panic and call the bomb squad.

A couple years ago, some over medicated prick with mommy issues, kills his mom then takes her AR15, goes to school and guns down little kids, and their teachers.
Soon afterward, you hear about little kids being expelled for making guns out of cookies, or using their hand to simulate a gun. Once again, stupid irrational fear.

As for the main part of your question, I think if Christianity can be defanged, so can Islam. But, that's going to be a bigger challenge. Crazy Islam fills the void, when there is chaos. The west
, and their former soviet counterparts are partially to blame for that.

we have a problem with christian extremism. not really with islamic extremism, which is a far bigger problem in Europe.
