FWIW I just read a piece in the Daily Beast outlining how Boehner told his GOP comrades that a gov't shutdown over Planned Parenthood was a bad idea and they were having none of it. The zealot ideologues/nihlists have hated him for quite some time for being the adult in the room--now with him out of the way they can continue their mission of obstruction/destruction.
Meanwhile, Carly Fiorina to this day has not been held accountable for continuing to circulate her completely fabricated story about having seen a baby-sacrifice video courtesy of Planned Parenthood.
Strange times.

If the Dems were smart they would have ousted Pelosi when they still had a majority. Now Dems might as well not even show up to work, because they really don't matter.

All I can say is: get ready for more craziness. Read an interesting opinion this morning that said the candidates are getting more and more reckless with their rhetoric (Trump, Carson, Fiorina, the rest) because this "anti-establishment" mood among the base voters is what's fueling their popularity and Boehner's fall is only going to embolden them more because he was considered "establishment." Because a gov't with Obamacare or funding Planned Parenthood isn't a gov't worth having so shut it down--shut it all down.

I can't say I blame Boehner, I wouldn't want to deal with the Tea Party either. It's gotta be frustrating as hell to work with people who have no interest in facts.
