the local theatre here just installed those after having the shittiest stadium seating one can imagine from the 90s. it makes paying $7.75 a lot more palatable

yeah it's so much better. even just the reserved seating itself is better, but once you add in the extra comfort it's amazing

and considering how packed the place is now it seems a wise business decision. now i don't go to the movies often, but previously i remember going to the movies and there'd be a few people there, in the theater and in the parking lot. now the parking lot is 3/4ths+ full and almost every movie i've seen has been full house, even weeks after opening

well shit they were playing jurassic world for months here which is weird because movies usually get taken down after maybe 6 weeks. must have been demand for it though.

it's not that crazy, the average ticket price is 8.50. which i think is high. dylan's price of 22.50/ticket is insane. i've gone to cheaper shows where there were live actors on stage

That's what you get for living up north Dylan. I'm a cheap ass, I take the wifey to 9 am movies on Saturdays with old people and like 4 dollar tickets.

Yeah it's more expensive here but the salaries are higher too. For my field at least. I think it evens out long term.
