if we're going to use existing legislation as a reference, and use military intentions as another reference, how about a woman's right to keep and bare arms?
women are not drafted or even registered for a draft, or is there any reference constitutionally or otherwise, until recently, of including women as part of a militia or military force.
shall they be barred because of their sex from private ownership?
in any case, when they granted private ownership of guns as an uninfringeable right, it had all the force of all the other federally granted rights; voting speech, etc..
