There is not trouble accepting the logic of the finite.
The trouble is accepting the business case of the finite when the entire world's economic systems are based on perpetual growth. Everyone knows, intellectually, that this doesn't work. Its just that they also know that what happens is going to be whatever is either most profitable or least costly. We won't know which until we get there.
