100+ people killed in Paris is already bad enough, but what really bothers me, is that the response is going to kill a lot more than 100 civilians, and yet most people will cheer it on.

Syrian refugees are fleeing from ISIS, yet people now want to turn them away, because they see how bad ISIS are. How does that make sense ?

They very well might. I wonder if Putin has become that arrogant?

The counter-argument is that they aren't willing to spend a ton of money in Syria. Outside of a few precision-guided bombs they broke out to show off their new toys, the Russians are largely dropping older, cheaper ordnance thus far. Moving a ton of combat troops and the infrastructure needed to sustain them into Syria would be extraordinarily expensive, and Russia can hardly afford that after Republican Hero Putin's mismanagement of the economy.

I kinda doubt they are stupid enough to engage in an extended ground operation in Syria, but then again it's hard to evaluate what Putin will do. He's proven his ineptness time and time again.
