dylan, what i was trying to convey with that statement is that they are not trying to become americans, to assimilate, but rather trying to make americans like them. they want to end american culture, not be a part of it. look at the polls, there are muslims in the western world, and like almost half of them, who have sympathy for the charlie hebdo terrorists. as a patriotic american, i must protest these people being welcomed here.

i mean, i just ate some turkish food for lunch. i love turkish food, it's almost as good as lebanese food. so i like that they are here because i like their food. but they have to want to assimilate, to add their distinctiveness to our own.
