I don't know what's worst. The myth of trickle down economics or the myth of taxing the wealthy will somehow inherently fix middle class income.
Taxing the wealthy balances budgets, not incomes. You fix incomes by cutting costs to the major causes (healthcare, education) and investing in infrastructure and economic development. Based off our current federal, state, and local budgets, you don't need to tax the shit out of the wealthy to accomplish this.
We must not be enemies. Though passion may have strained, it must not break our bonds of affection. The mystic chords of memory will yet swell the chorus when again touched, as surely they will be, by the better angels of our nature.
