i liked tuvok. chachotay was shit though yeah. while i agree with most of what you say spider, the point of voyager was as uber said: to explore strange unknown worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, and to boldly go. while there was one main storyline (get home) it was able to have a more episodic nature like TNG. i also liked how they got away from fantasy elements like the replicator and had to have a cook. i mean neelix is annoying but the idea of a cook and having to ration was better than "i think i want steak tonight". to be honest, i've probably only seen half of voyager episodes. i should really just watch it straight through one of these days, and then i can give you a better opinion, but while it could be said it was the weakest of the three 24th century treks, i think it's the "trekkiest" of the "treks" considering what that word means and the "mission statement" at the beginning of TOS and TNG.
