so spider, if it was 2D instead do you think your rankings would change? i've only seen it in 2D. it was filmed in 2D too, so the 3D was edited in

i have long on here said that the prequels were shit and the originals not much better. the reason for this is lucas is shit. remember, alec guinness in the original persuaded lucas to kill his character off because he hated acting in the movie, because it would make the character stronger and "What I didn't tell Lucas was that I just couldn't go on speaking those bloody awful, banal lines.".

i was watching an old one ANNOYED at the screen wipes. and by "old one" i meant i was watching phantom menance because i wanted to watch Darth Jar Jar (he totally is by the way) and apparently Lucas thought it would be great to edit his movie in Movie Marker Studio 6 or something. for me, with the plot i generally say "it's star wars". it's got a pretty awesome setting, and a simple plot. but it's the acting that typically annoys the shit out of me and it's the meaningless distractions that annoy me. you mention one thing that could be arguably that, but the point was to move them from ship A to ship B, together, so it wasn't entirely meaningless.

it was a better movie structurally. better directed, better edited, better acted, better everything, than any of the other movies. the plots are all rather simple and samey: it's star wars
