She's not related to any of the main characters. She was dumped on Jakku because her mother was afraid of her after seeing what she was capable of. Rey was conceived in the same way that Anakin was - without a father and through "the will of the force." Rey is the true Jedi meant to bring "balance" to the universe that everybody believed Anakin to be. For context, at this point the power and even mere existence of Jedi' is seen as a bit of a myth in this episode. People's familiarity with all of it has severely regressed - there is no Jedi training school anymore. Kylo knows of Rey not because he's related to her in any way but because his master might be the one responsible for her creation. It's increasingly apparent that his master (snoke) might harness the same power that was supposedly responsible for Anakin's birth. Like Darth Plagueis, perhaps Snoke is so powerful that he tried to create life and potentially the most powerful person the galaxy has ever seen in an attempt to solidify his power over all? And much like Anakin before her, perhaps her upbringing has led her in an opposite direction - towards the light side? It'd be fitting to see that come back at him in the end.

Don't forget, Kylo is here to take the role of Darth Vader. And he's basically already surpassed him as he killed his own father - it did make him weaker in the immediate but long term Kylo has little left for redemption and/or little left for him to struggle with outside of his mother. I predict that Kylo will further develop into something far more sinister.

"bringing balance" apparently means killing the sith, and anakin did do just that

as for celibate monks, they aren't always actually celibate. plus the order was destroyed around the time of luke's birth.

yeah he aided the rise of the empire, but apparently he was the only one who could kill palpatine. although i wonder if he helped mace windu instead of palpatine if hecould have done it just then, without the whole slaughtering of the younglings. still, his purpose was to kill palpatine, and he succeeded, eventually
