Sure. Point is, it's not necessarily hot air. These people are deranged and looking for a reason to shed blood. Recall that they wanted to get women and children killed last time. Recall the hillbilly cry session youtube video. That guy seems to legitimately think he won't be seeing his family in the near future. Why? Perhaps because he anticipates dying in a blaze of glory during a gun battle with The Man?

Don't underestimate the insanity of these folks. You grew up around them. You know they are 90% bluster (like most rednecks), but you also know there is a tinge of craziness there.

also i finally found a number. "few more than a dozen". so there's only like 15 of them. they're about to get a snowstorm, no roads, no phone, no power, no heat. yeah... it would be a long winter if they want to stay. also the guardian took a tour of their holdout. they snaped a picture of their food stores

Well, no, the key difference is that they have threatened violence and have the arms to back them up. Right? I am not worried about random violence occurring from firearms accidentally. I am worried about rednecks aiming their firearms at LEO and pulling the trigger. So the analogy to a downed electrical wire is quite stupid.

If they had threatened violence but brought fishing poles and not guns, might be a different situation.
