Again, a retailer serves the public. Selling to your family or whatever isn't retail, as that isn't a public transaction, it is the definition of a private transaction. But selling through a gun show, inviting people to your garage sale, advertising on Craigslist - these are unquestionably public transactions.
What is or is not a retail establishment is irrelevant. It has no bearing at all because the law does not talk about retail establishments, it talks about retail transactions. And retail transaction means any sale to the public intended for use or consumption rather than resale.
What you want the law to be, and your thoughts about the implications, are equally as irrelevant.
Come on guys, can we please pick up the quality here?
