Well, Ex Machina got me thinking about the whole A.I. thing and could it really go that wrong? So I read a couple of books specifically on the subject (especially after comments by Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk on the subject). Conclusion? It can (and probably will) go very, very wrong. That movie wasn't unrealistic at all.
And yes the cinematography was stunning. Very Kubrick.

Well that's the problem, though: the law on unintended consequences. We have no idea if these things would have something like pity, or compassion.
