its why poor people don't use banks. it's expensive.

i thankfully have a bank that has no actual bank buildings (usaa) and they reimburse me up to 10 atm withdraw fees each month. but most people don't have that. i found it ridiculous when (i was with wells fargo and) i went to a non-bank atm that was free, like at some gas stations, and then my own bank was charging me money regarding it.

worse than the atm fee is the overdraft fee. banks don't offer short term loans, except for one: an overdraft is essentially a short-term loan, and if it had a repayment period of seven days, the APR for a typical incident would be over five thousand per cent

lmao what is this. Use f**k schwab. Free international ATM fees. Its a free account thats been available for years now and a quick google search would reveal that. Lol I would go out partying in Hong Kong and pull out money like 8 times in a night. Cost me nothing, card works everywhere. Plus, awesome customer service. I swear they are the only retail banking institution with common sense fraud detection, unlike f**k citi or chase who freeze your card everytime you use it outside of your zip code or for over $500 bucks, despite the fact you have told them repeatedly not to f**k do this.

Anyway, this is self inflicted. If you continue to patronise bad businesses when better ones are available, of course you are going to get f**k.
