Haha yeah that says it all. If you're well connected, you can get the advantageous opportunity to buy tickets at 4K a seat. Otherwise you can try to get one of the few tickets available on secondary market sites, where the bidding for nosebleeds starts at 10k.

They should really just have a giant gala next to the stadium for all the celebs and company parties with a red carpet and A-list entertainment, etc, and then show the game on a giant screen there, so all the status-seekers who don't give a f**k about football can do their thing while letting fans of the actual teams fill the stadium.

I wouldn't even mind it so much if it really was a free market, but the league hands out most of the tickets to sponsors and other connected entities and then released only a small fraction of them for the public to buy. Even if the fans were willing to pay obscene ticket prices, they'd still get outnumbered by douchebags who aren't really there for the game.

Yeah a lot of people say that Saz. I usually go to 2 Eagles games per year and love it but that's enough. You definitely get more detail watching on TV but the atmosphere at the game is fun as hell.

On a play to play basis, watching on tv lets you see more, but there are certain things where nothing compares to live experience. Especially on defense, like your team getting a sack on third down or a walk off interception.

The craziest I ever saw the Linc during regular season was back in 2006 against the Cowboys. Cowboys on the goal line to take the win with with 15 seconds left and Lito Sheppard gets a walk off 103 yard pick six. Complete insanity and euphoria.

I agree, and I tend to cut players slack because so few people know what it's like to really put your body on the line and know you might get severely injured as a result of a choice you make on the field. but this is the super bowl and a pivotal play in the super bowl. dude needed to step up and he didn't.
