To Saz's point and I agree--when you just shrug it off, that's why it continues. We don't hold our leaders accountable for anything anymore. And they in turn don't hold the people accountable that they're supposed to either. Another result: the 1% literally have their own rules and laws, which are for the little people.
One buried headline here is further destruction of the "trickle down" myth--this is what rich people do with their money, people. They're not going to redistribute it by putting it into the economy, they're going to stuff it into overseas banks or hide in in investments, with the tax rate that's half what yours is.
