A question is, do these people lack empathy. If you want to describe them as sociopaths that can't have it. Sociopaths are also not calculating like psychopaths, they just do shit because they don't think about how it will impact others.

I think a psychopath could pull it off to get into the presidency (theoretically) but not a sociopath, even with the greatest handlers around. While some people may be selfish or mean or not really care (seemingly) about x or y, they have to in general calculate their moves. Bill is hot headed so maybe you'd see a bit of sociopathy with him, but he also is an emphatic person with a magnetic personality.

So yeah. Ex is correct about that term.
