i hadn't been able to see forbes in a while. the splash screen was annoying, but it also had this thing that checked my ad-blocker. my ad-blocker it seems whitelisted forbes as i was able to access it. the same annoying splash screen came up but i suffered through it. it told me since i disabled by ad-blocker, "enjoy forbes ad-light for 30 days!". there were several ads in the page, including one that took up the width of the page for where the article was and was 4 inches high itself, in the middle of a sentence. i don't think i want to know what ad-heavy forbes is. and when i changed pages within an article (because online articles NEED PAGINATION) it had a three second splash screen between pages. on and page two had no additional information in the article just some by line or some shit.

if ISIS is looking for something western to blow up that people can get behind from all over i think this is it

yeah i just clicked google search results about skylake processors and it happened to be forbes, which had an interesting thing on the splash screen about how "thanks for turning off ad blocker" so i stuck around for a bit. regrets.

Wired did this. So I whitelisted and was rewarded with ads that crashed chrome on the tablet. Seems OK with the desktop.

When I get those types of things, I go back to the Google results, and look at the cached screen. No ads.
