So punish everyone that didn't do it. Marvelous.
Just the other day you were making an argument that more guns did not equal more crime. You just made it again.
Now you're arguing that by getting rid of handguns over a 20 year period we will solve what exactly?
Even if criminals can't get handguns, (which you say is nearly impossible to circumvent), they will somehow be stifled.
But that argument caves. Criminals are as adaptive as any law. More so. Laws are most often reactive and seldom proactive.
I showed you a video where US crime would have been higher if Aus gun laws had been adopted. By a lot.
You're not really making an argument, you're just putting text in a post. You're suggesting to simply ban them because you feel you should.
Do I have a solution? No, but yours isn't either, it's just a reaction. The only thing yours would accomplish is to punish everyone that didn't do it. Criminals would be more enabled because open and concealed carrying of rifles is less likely to happen. Maybe if we become like Switzerland, something like that could happen. but, we won't.
You can't put anything back in Pandora's box. Once it's out, it's out.
