These are the Questions and Answers about my idea for a country called the United Republic of Britannia.

Foundations :

Q- You purchased the Queen Elizabeth Islands, why should we immigrate to a place that you own, where you obviously can alone, by yourself set the rules ?
A- I don't purchase anything, first of all yes, the Queen Elizabeth Islands belongs to Canada, and they must be paid for the land that we intend to make a country out of.
Secondly, The only rule that I set was the constitution, which guarantees Safety, Peace, Law and Order, and a reasonable measure of freedom, which by the way is far greater than the freedoms found in even the most liberal of dictatorships, so this isn't a dictatorship.
Beyond that, I have set NO rules, and I am responsible for none of the actual law making.
I have fully handed the responsibilities of law making, to elected officials, who are elected by the public.


Q- How do we know that this isn't another Jim Jones camp idea ?
A - Because the only religious foundation of the country is the Roman Catholic Archdiocese, nothing that is crazy, cult affiliated, or under high suspicion, and doesn't adhere to any code outside of mainstream Christianity.
The Archdiocese has no role in Electing the officials, talking politics, creating public policy, enforcing public policy or advising that people live any other way, than just plain regular old dignified.
I am also not in charge, I handed over all governmental authority to an elected government.
And as part of my constitution, it is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, also known as the British Commonwealth.... so its no secret to anybody that we're a community and a country.
The role of the Archdiocese is to provide Churches, a Catholic education, and city activities and public gatherings and so on.. a sense of an organized community.

International Relations :

Q- Are you friends with America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the Countries of Europe ?
A- That depends on what you mean by friends... we're certainly not limited to what Europe thinks that we should have for a Military, we're a world superpower and we're going to maintain that level of technology and those high numbers of weapons and vessels and aircraft and so on.
We're not particularly fond of Europe after how they treated America in the media for the last 60 years, we are certainly better friends with the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa than what we are with Europe.
And given a choice out of those, the USA is our number 1 business partner and military ally and supplier of high end technology.

Q- Does the United Republic support Israel ?
A-The United Republic sees no reason, except for scant accusations that are often politically motivated, and hate mongers and terrorist organizations to deny our support for Israel, so yes we support the state of Israel and its Government.


Climate and Quality of life :

Q - The United Republic is in the Arctic, wouldn't it have a low quality of life and a food shortage ?
A - No it would not, in fact the Arctic, where it is westernized... has the highest quality of life, for humans on this planet, in fact you are more likely to die of hunger, disease, and crime along the Equator, in the Tropics.
It would also be a bastion of technology, because of the lack of farming, and the need for industrial and technological, scientific activity.
