Also, we have to remember that Trump isn't the kind of guy who, ya know, reads....and we have to assume that he in fact may not know how the WTO came into being, and how badly it could go for everyone if this stuff is effectively scrapped and we backslide into some sort of Harding-esque tariff war nonsense. We've watched our economy literally crash and burn from this before. We've nominally learned from past failures, at least in policy terms. But I don't think Trump actually knows anything about any of this.

IMHO, it's all a matter of perception. Unless martial law is declared or some strengthening of the patriot act, the yelling, screaming, whining and wailing, is very shrill and it's all BAU.

If the left MSM stays on the left, we may hear more about the wars and possibly the Drug war in Mexico, which they were mostly silent about during the obama years.

This recalls one of my favorite arguments against people who wanted Trump because "we need someone who is not from Washington in the White House".

Really? So, you inherited a crappy house from your parents. And, you want to fix it up. But, you see the condition that it's in and say, "You know what? An architect designed this thing. A general contractor managed the building of it. And carpenters, plumbers, and other construction professionals built it. I don't want the house to be crappy. So, I'm going to hire an accountant to design it, a fry cook to oversee construction, and the whole Geek Squad team from my local Best Buy to build it."
