I'm in NY for work and happened to see Donald's motorcade passing by last night on his way back from JG's. I'm proud of how many middle fingers he got as his procession rolled by. NY.

The loss of the TPP isn't really talked about but it's a big deal. Obama's careful efforts to strengthen our interests in Asia are being unwound. So many lost opportunities.....

This hegemony is a necessary element of military imperialism. If it weren't for a strong nationalist sentiment, our continued occupation of Europe and now the eastern block, people that won't accept immigrants, wouldn't be possible.
I will concede there is military advantage, but I will also point out that Russian bases in Mexico or Canada, would be an open declaration of war. And we have history to base that on. The prime asshole just kicked the bucket.
Now, if I were them, I would prefer an American occupation over a Russian occupation, for sure. But I think neither is an inevitability.
Anyway, we're still broke and need to recover from that.
