there is a difference between supporting american hegemony and nationalism. for one, many non-americans support american hegemony. they may grumble about it, but in the end, it's what they want. it's why they are flipping shit over trump, because trump has said things indicating he is more nationalist than supporting american hegemony. you see, nationalism doesn't have to involve subjugation of others at all. it simply can involve making your own country great at others expense.

it is a lot of american blood and treasure to keep the security of the contemporary age since the end of wwii. and when you feel like others are ungrateful for it, you may want to just go home instead of dealing with you ungrateful f**k children. but many people realize how important america's role is in the world. we are living in the Pax Americana. and trump could end that

Those eras of alleged superiority, are usually far more brief than America's. They are also coupled with having the world's reserve currency.

The end of that would appear to be on the horizon. Imho, best to cut your losses and rebuild the nation from within.
