the logistics involved in an invasion of the americas from outside of the americas is so immense that it wouldn't happen
GINA has been really antogonistic. lets say we go to war. unless nuclear weapons are exchanged the chinese have no way of projecting force against the united states home territories, even if china takes out US satelite superiority, while the US can impose a lot on the chinese. still, america is prone to war exhaustion, and would rather just go home -- mostly for the same reason why chinese can't touch us... the chinese can't touch us so why are we even bothering
but lets say RED DAWN II happens. while very precious few of us have actual military weapons, many of us have "military style weapons" and will be able to fight light infantry with some effectiveness in a guerilla style resistance. an invasion and occupation of the united states would be the surest way for your country to lose all its manpower, go bankrupt, and have its own neighbors destroy it
Americans learn only from catastrophe and not from experience. -- Theodore Roosevelt
My life has become a single, ongoing revelation that I haven’t been cynical enough.
