Not as good as VII. It made up for things that VII failed on but the characters were better and it was more exciting in VII.
Still, I'm glad it diverted from a lot of star wars tropes. It was a decent scifi film... And far more sci-fi than any other star wars

I liked it. Liked it a lot honestly. Few cheesy parts I could of done without, but it was dark, serious and only a few jokes. My kind of movie.

Took my son Thursday night and I liked it. Obviously it has some flaws, but it makes for a nice New Hope immediate prequel. Getting to see Darth Vader doing his thing made it worth seeing alone. Remember when Darth was kickass and not a regretful fat face or pouting teenager? Yeah, that Darth is here, and maybe has one of his best scenes ever imho.

His scene was good. His Evil Base For Brooding built near a volcano with rivers of lava running through it made me laugh aloud in the theater tho
